LUSAKA High Court judge Chalwe Mchenga yesterday asked the lawyer representing the suspect in the Ruth Mbandu’s murder, George Kalomo on whether his application for prolonged detention is still competent.

Zambia:Ruth Mbandu murder suspects appear in court

FIVE people charged with the alleged murder of 19-year-old National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA) student, Ruth Mbandu yesterday appeared before a Lusaka magistrate’s court.

Ruth’s uncle, Pastor George Kaloma 31, of Kabanana Site and Service is among those who have been indicted for his niece’s murder, contrary to Section 200, Chapter 87 of the Laws of Zambia. Click here for the Full Story

Lusaka Killings Rekindle Past Fears

NIPA Student Ruth Mbandu’s Murder-Fugitive Suspect Arrested

As investigations continue into the gruesome murder of 19 year old NIPA Student, Ruth Mbandu, police have arrested fugitive suspect, Stanley Munkonji.

The arrest of Munkonji, who is Bishop Evans Ngulube’s aide and driver, brings the number of people arrested in connection with Ruth’s murder to four.

Slain NIPA Student Put to Rest

The 19 year old student of the National Institute of Public Administration-NIPA-who was brutally murdered in suspected ritual killing has finally been put to rest at Lusaka’s Leopards Hill Memorial Park.

Mourners paid their last respect to Ruth Mbandu at a church service held at the University of Zambia-UNZA- chapel.

The church service was attended by people from all walks of life including her college mates and her mother’s workmates at Basic Education Teachers Union of Zambia- BETUZ.
