An official for the Zambian Mission to the United Nations got off scot-free after smashing his car into a police cruiser in Queens Monday because he had diplomatic immunity, police sources said.
Langford Banda, 41, a second secretary in the official office, sideswiped a police cruiser on 180th St. near his Jamaica home just after midnight, sources said.
Banda appeared unsteady, but identified himself as a diplomat – meaning he was immune from local criminal charges, the source said.
He was released without a blood alcohol test after cops validated his position, the source said.
Two officers were taken to North Shore Long Island Jewish Medical Center where they were treated for minor injuries and released, police said.
The Zambian Mission did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
