The Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) has declared Patriotic Front President, Edgar Lungu as the country’s new and Sixth president of Zambia.

Acting Chief Justice Lombe Chibesakunda declared Lungu the Winner Saturday Night following a tight presidential race.

With all of the constituencies counted, Lungu received 807 925 votes compared to Hakaide Hichilema of United Party for National Development (UPND)With 780 168 votes
