CLOSURE OF SELECTED ROADS FOR THE FUNERAL PROCESSION OF THE LATE REPUBLICAN PRESIDENT HIS EXCELLENCE MR. MICHEAL CHILUFYA SATA FROM MONDAY 10TH TO TUESDAY 11TH NOVEMBER, 2014.

Please take note that the following roads will be closed for the procession of the state funeral at any time from 06:30 hours to 13:30hours on Monday 10th and 11th November, 2014.

• Great East Road
• Great North Road
• Church Road
• Cairo Road
• Addis Ababa road
• Chikwa Road
• Independence Avenue
• Pundit Neru
• Haile Salassie
• Nationalist Road

This is meant to allow for the cortege and mourners procession to traverse from Mulungushi Conference Centre, national heroes’ stadium and embassy park the final resting place for the late head of state.

During this period motorists are expected to use alternative routes and they are advised to cooperate with traffic police officers who will be positioned in different places around the city.
